About W. E. Technical Services
A short and incomplete history of Bill and his life in the world of model airplanes.

1) Bill was born May 1917 in the Bronx, NY.
2) He started designing and building models in 1925.
3) He started Berkeley Model Supply in 1933 in his parents basement.
4) Bill was a Naval Aviation Engineering Officer during WWII.
5) After WWII Bill built Berkeley Models into a worldwide business and manufactured kits and early R/C equipment until 1960.
6) Around 1960, Bill sold Berkeley Models to Fox Manufacturing and worked with Duke Fox to get the kit line up and running at the Fox facility in Arkansas. 
6) After about 2-3 years Bill went to work for A. C. Gilbert Company and was there until 1978.
7) After leaving A. C. Gilbert he started W. E. Technical Services.
8) He produced 68 finished designs of Free Flight, Seaplanes, Jets, Gliders, Scale and Trainers and many sketches and unfinished designs.
9) Bill passed away in May, 1999.
10) W. E. Technical Services was sold to Orbit Electronics, Inc. in January, 2000.
